When we go on holiday there are usually a lot of us and we tend to opt to rent out a large house or Luxury Villa with pool, something that can accommodate all of us. We love to cook and eat meals all together but equally have time to retreat. Villa Hyblea in Sicily is quite the find.
The Space

Boasting 3 suites with private livings areas, 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms sleeping up to 14 it’s space is perfect when you are looking to go away with your whole family. The 18th Century Villa previous belongs to an aristocratic family in Sicily and sits in a massive 40 hectares of ancient olive groves.
If you, like me, like to be surrounded with deeply fragrant summery smells, the court yard is filled with lemon trees, jasmine and geraniums – not to mention the palms! For me, smelling something a few years later will always take me back to my favourite memories, even from all the way back when I was small.
Although I think there might be some discussion on who would get the bedrooms with the furnished balconies overlooking the Italian gardens and who would want the ones with direct access to the courtyard!
Although the Villa Hyblea is nestled in so much greenery, the nearest beach is only a 30-minute drive and the nearest town is Ragusa – which is only 20 minutes. So, you get the best of both worlds, you can go and explore your surroundings and retreat into the luxury and peace of the villa when you are done. Perfect.

There are of course more but for me, simple things turn a holiday in to a home from home . With a huge luxurious twist.
For me the idea of strolling through the olive groves as the sun is setting on a day spent with the extended family is a pretty spectacular idea.
