I love pens, pencils, bags, purses and so does my Eldest daughter. The problem is, they go from My Little Pony (nuff love for the ponies) to Lady Gaga (love you too) in the blink of an eye.

It feels like there is little in between for the Tweens. Don’t get my wrong, yes they are growing up and a little too quickly but the divide seems huge. I often find myself in  shoe shops in one hand fluffy cat slippers, and the other diamante kitten heeled soft pink slip-ons in her size.

The trick is to find something not too grown up, but not too ‘babyish’ either.

Eldest loves pink. I haven’t pushed it on her, she just really loves it. So when a pink box arrived with a white ribbon tied neatly around it. She hit the roof.

She is a big, BIG Katy Perry fan (even if she doesn’t understand all the lyrics) so I was a bit worried about her initial reaction to what was inside the box. I love kitchy characters with little back stories, cute faces and in collectable ranges – I always have, but Eldest is growing up in a different time and they are often pushed into liking things a bit too grown up for them in a bid to fit in.

Straight away she took to the items and SugarLilly as she has a ‘very cute name’. The bag and the purse are apparently are ‘So cool, Liv will be jealous’ – I think that is a good sign?
Wrists bands have been a long standing trend with girls long into their teenage years and these are very cute and good quality. I like the middle pink on with the heart myself, but I’ve been told the flower is better (that was me corrected).  The purse is great quality and something I was really happy to see was the waterproof coating.
The price list is very pocket money friendly, Eldest earns pocket money for chores so she can easily work out how much she would have to do for which item, and equally if I wanted to buy a few items as a gift I could buy a good selection of the range.
The shoulder bag is the highest priced item and a very reasonable £12, the lowest priced items are bookmark and pencil set at 75p. Most items are between £2.50 – £3.50 and they also have things like hair bands, clips, necklaces and party sets.

I don’t know about you but I need these notebooks in my life, on my desk and in my bag. They come in at £3.50 for a pack of four. In the notebook scuffle I didn’t do well with my bargaining. They have all gone to various bags (none of which are mine).

The quality is great for the items, the price is also great. Eldest was able to sit and pick items out that she liked and also they went down a storm at Brownie’s.
