Strada Kids Menu Mailbox Birmingham

We were all invited along to make some pizza with the lovely Chef from Strada at The Mailbox in Birmingham. My kids love getting involved in making their food, not only that but we got to try out the Kids Menu and the Set Lunch menu – with some prosecco and a lot of fun.

We loved the kids packs, inside there are colouring pages, stickers, a blank pizza that you can sit and design while you await your tasty starters. The kids meals are a fantastic £6.50 and for that, you get a starter, main, sides, drink and dessert. For the set menu, it’s £9.95 for 2 courses or £11.95 for three with a £3 supplement for the steak. So while the decor and service are of a really high standard, the prices are more than fair. The quality of the food was brilliant and I couldn’t believe the size of the kids portions. You know I love a take-out box option and sure enough when I asked they arrived with a box big enough for our pizza and pasta.

The girls were very happy with the juice boxes, and there were three flavours to choose from. They all tried one of each flavour too!

While we were there, we had the chance to make our own pizzas. It was great fun and we got a really good sense of how fresh the ingredients were and the quality of them too. I think it’s really important to know what you are eating or at least, have a good sense of that and Strada clearly uses brilliant ingredients as both of our pizzas were amazing!

For the girl’s starters,  they chose two orders of Veggie Sticks and Garlic Flatbread.

The Garlic Flatbread was amazing, we all had a taste and we loved the crispy bread and the melted cheese. Great combo.

I had the Antipasti and a prosecco.

It was very light, very tasty and the olives were salty and juicy. I loved it. The girls really loved their starters too. For the mains, I had a Market Salad, which was crunchy and really well dressed. One of the girls had Grilled chicken and Fries and two had the Carbonara. At the same time, the pizza hit the tables and we were so happy with how they turned out. So much food!

For pudding, we kept it simple and the girls had fruit, I had a pannacotta and coffee whilst my friend ordered an affogato. The fruit was a mix of banana, apples and oranges. Which the girls enjoyed after eating all that delicious food. The pannacotta was super creamy, the fruit was tart and cut through the creaminess of the pannacotta really well. IMG_0020

Our meal was very enjoyable, the service was brilliant, the staff were friendly and chatted away as we made our orders. The restaurant itself had space for pushchairs to be tucked away, and there were highchairs a-plenty so it’s definitely a family friendly establishment.

Will we be going to enjoy the Strada Kids Menu at the Mailbox Birmingham again? Yes, very soon.
