T’was the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The parents slept soundly, the children in bed
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
A toddler crept to the top of the stairs, to find no safety gate there,
She fell from top to bottom and landed with a boom,
To sneak a peek at presents, tiptoed quietly from her room,
Parents & child head to A&E and will be home no time soon.
Okay, so that might seem a little dramatic but the temptation for little ones to sneak out and try and spot Santa is really high at this time of year and five minutes attaching a no-trip stair gate (like the one we use) from Lindam could help avoid a horrible accident, not only at Christmas but the whole year through.
We have a selection of gates from Lindam, they are a trusted brand in our house and have been long before I blogged about them. The gates we used are fitted and were recommended by the team at Lindam and you can also ask them for advice when you are fitting yours to makes sure you do get the BEST for you little ones.

I was going to do a step by step guide to fitting the stair gates but it’s been manic I haven’t had a chance. Here is the link to Lindam’s Advice Corner, for a list of their top tips and advice for keeping your little ones safe and that is especially important over busy periods like Christmas with so much more going on. Here is a link to the FAQ where you can find more information out about the gates and any other relevant questions you might have about the gates.
*This gate is preferable for stairs as it has no bottom bar and you are unlikely to trip and fall.
** The Lindam Lifetime Guarantee covers all Lindam Safety Gates purchased from 01/01/2014
