The reason behind the blogging.

If you’ve read any previous posts, you might find I’ve been a bit gushy, ‘I love life, my life, staying at home, blaaaaa’ and I am truly sorry if you hate that kind of crap. I used to hate it too really. Like if someone got emotional, I’d put on my Mrs. Practical hat and gave them a ‘stiff upper lip’ talk.

I have a few close real world friends, they are fabulous, really they are. However, writing this blog has let me be soppy, stupid, join in and feel part of something. It’s been great. I get a bit tongue tied sometimes and am never really sure what to say, but when I sit down in front of my laptop with my coffee I can find the words.

Why this is silly? This is silly because I used to work in the Marketing department for a charity, I slept all night in a field with -2 degree cold to raise money , I worked in a multi-national, multi- lingual Sustainability company, I spoke to leaders in the UNDP about why they needed Sustainable housing, I can do those things, I can find those words, I can make the shit out of those pie charts and graphs. But about myself I started to get really stuck, so all I had was what I had done, not who I am or what I wanted to do. Blogging has let me just be me (behind a screen with a screen name).

My blog, has started to grow a little bit, I’m finding new great linkys, prompts and blogging sites, for me it’s been like planting a seed. It took a while, I had a second baby, I came back to it and now it’s time to nurture it.

If you have taken the time to comment, re-tweet, follow me or even read any of this I am truly happy you have done so. Gush gush gushhhhy.

It’s been lovely to share things with people who share back.
