Sea Life Centre at Halloween.

We were invited along to check out what The Sea Life Centre Birmingham had on at Halloween. We love Halloween, we like the scares, the atmospheric lights and a bit of a show. I thought that the Sea Life Centre would have a great event.

I think perhaps my expectations were too high, but a few pumpkins dotted around didn’t really cut it in terms of Halloween for us. We love (LOVE) The Sea Life Centre, a lot, we go multiple times a year, the girls have a fabulous time, and they nail Christmas beautifully but this felt so lacking.

Maybe we missed something but adding 19 (or something) pumpkins to a venue doesn’t make it exciting enough to make a special trip for Halloween. I feel like the venue has such great potential to be a place you go to for Halloween. I know that there are very specific environments that have to be kept in pace for the aquatic life, but there are plenty of spaces that would’ve happily housed a skeleton or two.

For me, it’s a place you go to in the October break without needing a gimmicky lacklustre Halloween prompt. The Sea Life Centre at Christmas however, I couldn’t recommend more… or in fact going in general.

For us though, this missed the mark.
