I have long been a fan of unusual lip colours and I am over the moon with the current trends of blues and greys. When I was browsing in Superdrug the other day, this Rimmel Liquid Lip – Shadow totally caught my eye.
I have to say straight off the bat, I really don’t like flat doe-foot applicator wands, however, many people find them easier to use. That’s a personal preference thing.
It applies so smoothly, feels very creamy and dries down in about 2 minutes. As with most matte liquid lips, apply to primed lips. The colour is super rich so apply slowly to get the desired even coat.
On the below photos I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip without a liner, I didn’t have a liner that matched to hand. Many people steer clear of grey toned lips, the general consensus is it can wash out many skin tones. However, I am fairly pale and found with a full face this grey shade was very complimentary to my eye colour.
The Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip lasted around 8 hours through housework, lunch, work, parenting and many cups of coffee. As with all matte liquid lips removed gently with micellar water, or an oil based make up remover to avoid stained lips.
In my opinion it is worth the (around) £6 price point.
