I have a 6-year-old who has a love of clothing, styling and makeup tutorials. Frankly, she has much more style than I have ever had. I stick to what I enjoy wearing, sometimes that turns out to be really ugly jumpers. She accepts me for me – bad taste and all.
Going shopping with her is a bit of a treat. I know what I am going for, I have an outfit in my mind. So does she. She loves pastels and white. Bags with pompoms and neat pockets. When I asked her if she had a perfect summer outfit, she hopped up on a stool next to my desk.
I do, you need to find a white dress with pink spots.
And with that, she put her perfect summer outfit together in about 3 minutes. Although, she calls it a lookbook – so let’s stick with that.
The white dress with pink spots that caught her eye was this Girls Mayoral Dress, a snip at £17.50 and was on the kids designer clothing section of OD’s Designer Clothing website.
A pair of Clarks sandals made the cut because they are called Ivy Blossoms. (and of course, her sister is called Ivy).
No look is complete without a sizeable flowery headband. This one is £12 from Riverisland.
I feel like I could learn a lot from the girls when it comes to wearing what you love.
