How To Generate Leads When You’re A Full-Time Freelancer

One of the hardest things that any freelancer has to do, no matter what sector they might be working in, is to generate leads.

Many freelancers would much rather work on the product they are selling or the service they are providing, but leads are essential if you want to grow your business; they are essential if you’re going to have a business at all.

Since lead generation is one of the things so many freelancers struggle with, especially when they are working full-time on their business, and yet since it is also the one thing that they must do above anything else, here are some valuable tips on how to generate more leads and build your business through them.

Provide Instant Gratification

People looking for a service online don’t want to wait for a freelancer to get back to them with information or a price or even to confirm a booking. They want what they want right there and then, and having to wait for anything is likely to send them away to your competition in many cases. This is not something that a freelancer would have to worry about in the past; people were much more patient because there was no such thing as instant gratification, plus there were so few freelancers that there was little competition.

Today things are different, and if you want to generate leads, you need to take care of the people who are contacting you, giving them something to tide them over until you can speak with them yourself. One option would be a downloadable eBook, for example, giving them some helpful information. Another idea would be to have a chatbot installed on your site via Click4assistance UK provider of AI and other business tools. In this way, your potential customers can get answers that will help them choose you, giving you more leads.

Use Content

Content is by far the best way to gain leads since it doesn’t feel as though you are selling anything but instead feels as though you are legitimately providing information to your visitors.

This is, of course, the case; you are providing information through this content, but underlying all of this is a sales technique; you are showing that you are an expert and that you are the one who can help, even if you don’t come right out and say it.

When you utilize content in this way on your website through your blog or by sending out regular newsletters, you can gain a good following of those who are interested in what you have to say.

When they need to buy whatever it is you sell, they will automatically know just where to come – and they’ll tell their friends and family too.

Hold A Competition

When you hold a competition or do some kind of giveaway in your business, you can immediately garner a lot of interest.

Keep the competition open to everyone, including those who don’t yet follow you or haven’t bought from you, and you’ll find that you can generate a lot of leads.

The competition will have been the catalyst for someone finding you, but once they sign up for the contest or giveaway and see what it is you do and what you provide, at least some of them will go ahead and buy from you.

The competition won’t have to cost you a lot of money, but it can bring you a lot of revenue nonetheless.
