Handmade Burger Co Kids Menu Review

Burgers-1500x500.jpg

We tend to go out to eat most weekends, sometimes we go for Italian, sometimes we opt for sushi but the girls have a deep love of a simple burger and fries combo. I’ve recently switched to a plant-based diet and my husband loves meat in general.

Handmade Burger Co perfectly caters for all of this – which is lovely.

The kids menu is pretty straight forward, you get a main, side, drink, and desert for £3.95 – pretty good value.

Poppy went for the chicken burger, Lily chose the beef and cheese classic, and Ivy opted for the fish finger burger. For sides two had the chips and one had the cucumber and tomato. The portions were a decent size, Ivy and Lily couldn’t finish their meals – they ate around half. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about the kids meal maybe being too small for Poppy, she’s ten now and we have been to the occasional place where the size is pretty mini. Handmade Burger Co however, seems to have nailed their portion size for her – which we, and she, loved.

Pudding is ice-cream with a choice of either chocolate sauce of strawberry.

Tasty.

All-in-all the girls said they really enjoyed the burgers, and that they would like to go back very soon. Poppy is a dedicated chicken burger fan and will order the same meal in most places, so if she says it’s good it really is.

They all added a milkshake to their order which I think was around £1.40 and those went down a treat.

Our meal came to £57ish quid, that was with two adult burgers, sides, a couple of coffees, the kids meals, milkshakes and two refreshing elderflower/lime soft drinks too.

A word on the vegan burger.

It was really, really good. I ordered the Sweet Potato and Bean burger – it was packed with flavour, the bun was light and the sauce was delish.

All-in-all? We all had a really relaxed meal, great value, kids loved the food, the service was polite and quick and we could see our food being cooked freshly. Way to go Handmade Burger Co!
