Glossy Box Craft

I am a Glossy Box subscriber and I always find myself storing away the boxes. I just haven’t got the heart to throw them away. They are too cute!

I currently use a few of them to store my jewellery making beads, charms and chains in. It’s just not enough though. They still look cute… but maybe some glue guns and beads later we can make them a little cuter?

Something that, when you are finished can be used again to give gifts in. Massive upside? They are sturdy enough to go in the post too. I’ve actually sent a few to my Nana filled with treats.

So here are a few examples of what me and Mojo have been doing with just a few of the boxes.

You’ll have to excuse the glue gun wisps, it was a last minute project with rushed snaps!

What did we use?

  • Buttons – various colours & sizes
  • Fabric swatches
  • Beads – Big, little, lots of colours
  • Ribbon
  • Glue Gun
  • Stickers
  • Charms
  • Glossy Boxes (other boxes will do the trick too)

Just make sure when you are embellishing your box you avoid putting too much around the area the lid will be. This is will make it really difficult to open/close and will ruin any lovely additions you’ve made! Also as you can see I didn’t let the little one loose with the glue, it was a very supervised operation.

The plan for the ones we have made are – hairband, comb and hair clip storage for the girls, pen storage and the one with the label will be put aside and used to send a gift in at a later date!
