Having a relaxing space is really important, and for most of us that is the bathroom. Hot showers, long relaxing baths, the countless bottles of bubbles and oils. It can be quite lovely. Here are a few little tips to make your bathroom space a little but more beautiful.

- Spruce it up. Sometimes rooms like the bathroom, because they are high traffic areas we forget that they need a facelift every now and then. Have a think about what ‘theme’ you’d like in there, create a Pinterest board to gather all of your ideas in one easy place. Bathrooms have only a few functions, so it is only of the simplest rooms to re-do. Monochrome with some splashes of greenery works wonders and makes the space look large.
- Great storage. Many bathroom specialists have brilliant storage options to suit all budgets and bathroom sizes. under-sink storage is a super space saver and can add a sleek tidy look to the room.
- Change some fixtures. There is a shower head for every type of water pressure preference, there are even light up ones! A new shower head or some new taps can help tie a room together. Fixtures, fittings and furniture really bring the room together.
- Lux. Buy a few of your favourite scented candles, and some indulgent bath oils. When you’ve had a long week, sometimes there is nothing more soothing that warm water, great oils and your favourite smell wafting around the room.
- Comfort. Thick soft plush towels, memory foam bath mats, underfloor heating and soft lighting can be the final touches to make the bathroom the ultimate self-care room in the house.
