A couple of weeks ago I went off to a cocktail making masterclass at All Bar One Snowhill, Birmingham, to hear about Friction Free Shaving. On arrival, we were gifted with a rose gold ‘Samantha’, which had been engraved with our names.

I honestly loved that idea. I have to admit I’m such a lazy git when it comes to keeping my razor in tip-top condition and am pretty good at shaving with minimal time and almost rusty razors. Using this was always going to be a bit of a revelation. However, the weightedness of it, the smoothness of the grip, the 5 razor bars, the rubber bar that lifts hair as you go, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E lubricating strip moisturising the skin… all meant that in the end, I was left with pegs and pits as smooth as an egg and I can’t remember the last time that happened.

I loved the ease of adding the first blades and later on replacing them, there is a little poem in the back, that tells you when you should replace your blades to maintain your egg-smooth legs and it’s pretty essential to follow that unless you want to fall into the lazy-razor trap again. To make it even easier, thought-free and convenient Friction Free Shaving deliver the razor heads in perfect letter-box sized boxes at a neat price.

They also have this great little swap system. If one month you don’t need blades you can choose to have something else. In previous swaps they sent out lipstick and nail polish – can’t hate it!
All in all, I have had a great experience with this razor, it was super, super close and as shaving goes a nice experience.
