Cinnamon and Raisin Croissants

IMG_0012

I like a good ol’ Danish Pastry, I like Croissants too. Sometimes I just want to combine them and have something tasty, sweet and an epic partner for a steaming hot cup of coffee. These cheats Cinnamon and Raisin Croissants are super easy and even the laziest cook in the world can do them.

Ingredients:

Cinnamon
Butter
Jus-Rol Croissants
Raisins / Mixed Dry Fruit
Light Brown Sugar

Pop open your Jus-Rol croissants, in each one put a handful of raisins and loosely roll them up. I was ‘trying’ to fill a heart up, it didn’t work BUT they were amazing. Make sure you grease whatever tin you are using, I just used butter as you can see below. The reason I rolled them up so loosely was so they had extra room to spread out, really I could have done with two tubes of Jus-Rol pastry but it was a spur of the moment thing.

I sprinkled a few extra raisins over the rolled up croissants too.

Next melt some butter, I used a generous tablespoon and melted it in the microwave for about 10 seconds, not enough for it to start bubbling.

I then added a tablespoon of cinnamon and gave it a good stir and brushed it over the rolled up croissants. Crumble over some of your light brown sugar too.

Bake for an extra minute or two then you normally would.
