After we got home from the hospital with Tiny one of the first things I wanted was a bath, I love taking a warm bath with my babies while they are small enough to completely relax and just enjoy the water. It is quite lovely.
I like having gentle things to clean them with too if you read my previous post about smelling like fruit rather than a human you will recall that I have very temperamental skin and so do all the babies. Tiny was having olive oil glazed over her in the hospital and was beginning to remind me of basting a chicken rather than my sweet tiny baby. I’m fond of the natural smell of a baby, slightly amniotic, slightly sweaty and just a tinge of sweet milk. That is part of the joy of a newborn. The smell.
We were sent a gorgeous kit to try out on Tiny once she arrived and knowing how the girls all react to certain products it is a testament to any company when their skin actually improves.
So to the testing (and cute photos) of Buriti Baby from The Body Shop.
I dunked Tiny into a bath to get rid of the final remains of the goop I had bestowed upon her during her stay in my uterus.
Here is a before and after of her hair.

I also took classes in baby massage when Mojo was just a little tot, so when I saw there was a massage gel in the pack I got really excited! I hadn’t used gel before I had always used either olive oil or a simple vitamin E oil supplied by the classes. So Gel was totally new for me. I really enjoyed using it, it has a thicker more manageable consistency which is handy when you are first starting out with massage on a new baby as it can take a few times before they get really comfortable with it.
This is what happened after the gel.

The pack looks like this:
The packaging is a lovely pale yellow colour, it has sweet bows either side of the zip and comes with mini versions of the collection. It would make a great gift from newborn to 1+.
We loved it.
