BAHM – the new big thing. #NaBloPoMo

Over the years I’ve been blogging I haven’t shared much of it with the people in my everyday life. I decided that the blogging that I want to do, and what I want to write about and the people around me won’t be great mix. The great thing about blogging is being able to share parts of yourself that you wouldn’t share with everybody that you know. You are free to build a completely new, and wonderful network to share, laugh, cry and chat with. That’s one of the best things about blogging.

I do however post pictures and status on Facebook about what we are doing, things we’ve been sent and like things like that. More and more mums are asking what I do, how have I been sent this item, got tickets to this place and that sort of thing. I’m now getting private messages asking me how to get started, where to go and what to do. I don’t mind answering the questions but I see a big difference between those who want to blog for fun and those who want the free (nothing is free) items.

I love helping people get started, as I posted the other day, blogging has given me a great skill set. To help people develop the same things is great. Although I have had one person message and ask of they ‘started one of those websites’, could I tell them a bunch of people so they could get ‘some stuff for the kids’.

Blog At Home Mum – it’s the new big thing. It got me thinking about if any other bloggers have this happen too? How do you handle it, sharing is caring or are you protective of your blogging know-how and contacts? I share as much as I can without giving away contacts, I will share tweets and mass mailers with people I think it might fit, I think it’s nice and in the end blogging can make a huge difference in your life if you let it. It can be hard work, it can get boring, it can be difficult and it can be brilliant.

P.S I don’t share contacts without clearing it with the PR in question and you shouldn’t either.
