I don’t know if you have noticed but my Twitter has been a mixture of food and everything I’m watching on NOW TV. We have the entertainment packages and have a huge amount of boxsets. I honestly can’t get enough of them. While the kids are all about SpongeBob I have a plethora of other things to be watching. Here are my Must Watch Series.
Hannibal – It’s kinda like the movies, it’s kinda like the book. It’s kinda nothing like either of them. Now, if you are a fan of Hannibal and you’ve maybe even read the book you’ll be at ease with this. It doesn’t need much explanation, it’s easy to keep up with and it’s a mini gore-fest. I love it’s simplicity, I love all the funny bits ‘I’d love to have you both for dinner’ while talking to someone. It’s just brilliant and Mads is basically a dish himself. I’ve never wanted to eat a human being more than while watching this. Watch with food or be prepared to consider eating your own arm.
Stalker – There is only one season (why oh why!!), but it’s a good one and at the end you’re asking yourself why didn’t you like Jack to start with though, Beth? Maggie Q, how tight are your jeans? While I would say they could have a gone a little more graphic or maybe a bit jumpier I think it’s just the right amount of jumpiness and tension for people who maybe wouldn’t be able to cope otherwise. It’s not too heavy, there are some sinister moments that might have you checking in your wardrobe at the end of the night, the characters have easy to follow lives and even easier to spot secrets but the episodes are short and easy to follow which makes it great.
Castle – Oh Nathan Fillion how my heart beats for you, in this show only. It’s cheesy, it’s witty, it’s a bit gritty, they aren’t afraid to show some guts – literally, and it’s mostly lighthearted and lovely. I think it appeals to be because he is a writer, and basically http://www.mindanews.com/buy-levaquin/ uses what he experiences for more of his best sellers. As he says he has 27 novels(!). NOW TV has loads of episodes so this one is perfect for a dirty weekend boxset binge. There are some moments that you’d likely want to hug Nathan’s big, broad shoulders and make him read all of his books to you, but for the most part it’s a great cop/writer (what?) drama with a big heart.
Game of Thrones – I couldn’t leave it out, right? Obviously not. I think you can see so far my taste is based around gore, action and thrills and GoT sums it all up. With season 6 hitting the screens now, NOW TV has the full collection and you can catch-up then keep-up with ease. You know nothing Jon Snow! It’s too easy to give away a fat load of spoilers for this one, but the best thing to do is order some food, hitch up on the couch and get stuck in.
Girls – This one is not like the others ones. I loved this show for it’s honesty, the depth of the characters, the gritty nature of people on the screen. It’s like Sex and The City, but younger and a bit more honest. Again it’s about a writer who is figuring out her life, her friends and her lovers. It’s sexual, it’s funny, it’s emotional and in general? It’s pretty real. Lena Dunham & Co could basically your best friends, except they aren’t and when you hit the last episode you can feel as sad as I did. Until your return!
The NOW TV Entertainment Packages is amazing value and they often have great offers to check out. So there you have it for this What to Watch on NOW TV update, I am sure there will be another soon as I’m swiftly running out of Castle!
