How You Can Get More Out Of Your Garden In A Morning

Most parents will agree, if you are up before your children there is something quite peaceful about your home, your garden included. You can hear every sound, you have time for yourself to make that first hot drink of the day, and even a moment to gather your thoughts for the day and week ahead. A morning like this really can be one of the best ways to start your day. As the weather is getting nicer, it can be more and more tempting to step outside with your coffee or tea and enjoy those peaceful minutes in the fresh air. However, if your garden needs some work it might put you off. Which is why I thought I would share with you some of the ways you could get more out of your garden in the morning, by making some simple improvements and changes.



Have somewhere to sit and relax

Enjoying the morning air first thing could be a delightful way to start your day, so it might be worth considering how you would do that if you have nowhere to sit. If you do have some space in your garden, you could think about investing in some new furniture or a dining set like rattan cube sets. Not only could this be the pride of place to enjoy your drink in the morning, but you could get more use out of it as the day goes on. Even eating there during the evening or relaxing one evening after school.


Avoid overthinking things

Sometimes it’s best to avoid putting yourself in a situation where you are overthinking, especially first thing in the morning. Your garden may be presenting some tasks that need doing that may not have been done for some time. So why not feel motivated by spring and tick those jobs off your “to do” list. It could include things like tidying the shed, cleaning the patio or decking areas. However, once they’re done, you can relax in your outdoor space at any time of the da.


Feel inspired to exercise

Spring can do all sorts to us mentally, it can provide motivation to clean things up or start up new hobbies. Your garden could be the perfect place for you to consider exercising, or even things like yoga if you want to try something new. Improvements to your garden could be made by ensuring you have an area to do this in, like a freshly cut lawn or even laying down artificial grass to avoid the boring job.


Fresh air can change your mood

Getting outside in the fresh air can have a huge impact on your mood, but not just your mental state, but also your children. A dose of fresh air can delay a tantrum or stop sulking in its tracks. It can really help you start the day feeling fresh and rejuvenated. It can be a great tip to encourage the whole family outside first thing, even if for just a few moments eating breakfast or doing last minute homework. Keeping your garden clear and tidy will ensure it’s always available so you may want to consider your storage options.
